Casuarina equisetifolia, also known as Australian pine, is a good source of firewood: The wood is dense and hard, ignites easily, and produces little smoke. It's considered by some to be the best firewood in the world. 
 It is a water based hardwood that contains NO sap/resin despite it's name . Australian is a clean burning wood used for indoor fireplaces, outdoor campfires, and great for pizza ovens. Split and seasoned.
